BetterBetting Fine-tuning its Platform in Preparation for the 2018 FIFA World Cup

The BetterBetting team has announced its putting finishing touches to its platform in readiness for the upcoming football tournament.

The BetterBetting team has made it clear that almost all the vacant positions in its Estonia office have been occupied by excellent team members. These workers have all hit the ground running.  The newly employed experts have filled in the positions of data specialists, UX and designers, client-side programmers, quality assurance personnel and blockchain devs.

The BetterBetting CTO, Ian Sherrington said:

“With the FIFA World Cup looming squarely on the horizon, we have beefed up development capacity in order to be ready with the first version of BETR decentralized peer-to-peer  and peer-to-sportsbook betting cryptocurrency based distributed betting system and the first reference clients by mid-May 2018,”

Other key information concerning the underlying architecture and functionality for the upcoming football event will be announced in subsequent updates.

The company has made it clear that for now, it’s only offering football services. However, other sports may be added much later.

For the 2019 football season, BetterBetting will cover major leagues like the English Premier League, Spanish Primera Liga, Italian Serie A, French Ligue 1, German Bundesliga and the UEFA Champions League. Other leagues will be added much later.

There will be a minimum of 50 markets, including the match-winner, totals and Asian handicap markets.

BetterBetting has strong support in Asia therefore, it is expected to offer great liquidity on main markets presenting punters an opportunity to leverage the BetterBetting liquidity pool.

The CEO of the platform, Adrian Brink said that:

“I think this last point is particularly interesting – we are already seeing strong interest from professional sports bettors who are keen to be able to bet in a robust and secure way with higher volumes than are possible through existing sportsbooks.”

Bettors can only place bets using the BETR token which is the cryptocurrency of the platform. It was released back in January during the BetterBetting token generation event. Then it was trading at 10 cents per token. BETR is available on exchanges such as HitBTC, Bancor, IDEX, Etherdelta, Bisq, and Waves.

The platform has been around since 2017 in Estonia. Its primary aim is to give bettors a pleasurable betting experience never seen before. BetterBetting is a blockchain-based decentralized gambling platform, founded by Adrian Brink and David Vanrenen.

Other key members of the team include Hilly Ehrlich, Mitchell Rankin, Jon Matonis, Ronnie O’Sullivan and many more.
