Graphic photographs have emerged of the wounds convicted “Tiger King” star Joe Exotic said he suffered at the hands of a prison guard who sexually assaulted him, according to a report.
OK! Magazine published the bloody images it says it obtained of the former zoo owner and star of the Netflix docuseries who is serving a 22-year sentence for animal abuse and attempts to hire a hit man to kill big-cat rival Carole Baskin.
Exotic was allegedly attacked at the Grady County jail in Oklahoma, the mag reported. He has since been transferred to the Federal Bureau of Prisons lockup in Fort Worth, Texas.
The images show the openly gay 57-year-old — whose real name is Joseph Allen Maldonado-Passage — with what appear to be large wounds on his left arm.
“I was sexually assaulted by a guard in Grady County, beat the f— up and stripped naked,” Exotic told OK! Magazine in an email.
“I was tied in a chair (for) so long the skin came off my arms … and then locked in a room naked for eight days sleeping on a cold metal shelf on the floor with dried feces and sperm on it from so many others before me,” he wrote.
“There is no mental help there—it’s just abuse,” added Exotic, who has written a 257-page treatise to President Trump on why he deserves to be pardoned and released from the slammer.
Exotic, who has maintained his innocence, cited severe health problems in his plea to be pardoned.
“Regarding Joe’s appeal, he filed it in April of this year and his lawyers are currently working on that, in addition to the pardon efforts,” sources told OK!
“He has a huge team of high-profile lawyers that have taken his case on a pro bono basis. Other volunteers are managing his social media and fan groups, all pro bono,” the sources added.
One source told the mag that Exotic’s weight has dropped from 179 pounds to under 150 pounds.
“He has talked a lot about the abusive conditions in prison in all the fan mail he answers,” the source said. “I know that he has lost 33 pounds and that the prison denied him treatment for his medical conditions for months and his health is not good, which is another reason it’s critical for him to be pardoned.”
