Brit girl, 11, 'who dreamed of pop stardom' killed in horror jet-ski crash in front of family on Turkey holiday | The Sun
AN 11-year-old British girl has been killed in a horror jet ski smash on holiday in Turkey.
Yagnmur Koseoglu was on the back of her dad’s jet ski when another craft slammed into them at high speed, killing the youngster instantly.
Two men on the other jet ski aged 25 and 17 were arrested by Turkish cops and are facing manslaughter charges.
British-born Yagnmur’s family is Turkish but her father runs a restaurant in Hemel Hempstead and she was growing up in the Hertfordshire town.
Her uncle, Mehmet Goren, 39, paid tribute to the “beautiful” girl yesterday – revealing she was “always smiling” and dreamed of becoming a pop star.
Shock video footage too graphic to publish was filmed by Yagnmur’s brother Toprak, 14, and shows the youngster and her dad Okan, 41, riding off the coast of Ayvalik, Izmir.

Yagnmur’s other brother Deniz, 15, can be seen playing in the sea while their mum, social worker Gunes, 36, relaxes on the beach off camera.
Unsuspecting family members are laughing and joking as they watch the pair – before another jetski appears, flying into the side of them and knocking them both into the sea.
Toprak can be heard saying: “What the f***. Those guys have just ran into dad and Yagnmur. What the f***!”
Mehmet revealed how after the camera stopped rolling, the assailants’ jetski had spun around and run over the father and daughter again whilst they were in the water.

Yagnmur was later pronounced dead whilst the two assailants – one thought to have been holding a video camera – fled the scene after the smash on August 12.
They were later arrested by a coast guard – the 25-year-old has since been released on bail whilst the 17-year-old has been remanded in custody.
Mehmet, who was at home in Nottingham when the incident occurred, revealed the horrific aftermath of the incident.
He said: “She had blood pouring out of her face and all over her body. It was traumatic for all of the family.
“She was the youngest one – for them to see her like this is just unthinkable. She was so full of life.
“She was so happy all the time. She had loads of friends and was really kind to everyone.
“She loved to sing and she loved her make-up. She was just becoming a teenager and had so much to offer the world.”
The family, of Turkish origin, would visit the beach in Ayvalik once a year and had grandparents living nearby.
Shockingly, Yagnmur’s family revealed that the people who had been renting out the jetskis were around 12 years old.
Mehmet said: “It’s like this in a lot of Turkey. The state do not interfere with these things.
“There’s no health and safety.”
The jet-ski firm operating on the beach had even resumed renting them out just 20 minutes after the incident.
