Two teenage girls have been charged with brutally attacking a sobbing woman.
Disturbing footage of the savage assault shows the female victim, 24, being punched and kicked in the head as she cried on the floor.
She also had her hair pulled and had vodka thrown over her as she lay terrified at a property in Burnard Street, Anfield, Liverpool, at about 10pm on Tuesday.
Today, Merseyside Police announced Ellie Knowles, 19, of Rupert Drive, Everton, Liverpool, had been charged with attempted wounding with intent, blackmail, theft and criminal damage, the Liverpool Echo reports.
A 17-year-old girl from Liverpool, who cannot be named due to her age, has also been charged with attempted grievous bodily harm.
Both were remanded in custody to appear in Liverpool Magistrates' Court today, where the case will likely be passed to Liverpool Crown Court.
A third woman, 21, who was arrested on suspicion of fraud by false representation, has been bailed pending further enquiries.
At least three bystanders appear to be present in the footage and can be seen looking on as the attack takes place with music blaring in the background.
The victim is filmed cowering on the floor in tears as she tries to protect her face by covering it with her coat.
At one point, she tries to get to her feet before she's kicked in the face and grabbed by the hair.
In the footage, she shouts to a woman carrying out the assault "get her in the face", "get her right in the back" and "whack her head off the stairs".
