Harry and Meghan’s son Archie ‘to get similar education in USA to cousin Louis’

The son of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will reportedly receive a similar education at a US pre-school as he would have in the UK.

It's understood Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor will be receiving early years care close to that of his cousin, Prince Louis, who attends Willcocks Nursery School in Kensington.

Willcocks has an almost identical focus to American pre-schools as the happiness of the child comes first as they start to learn early literacy and maths skills.

The schools also have a shared focus on 'expressive arts and design' but the US settings are likely to be more about creativity.

Mum Hannah Hargrave spoke to Hello magazine about living in Los Angeles for 16 years and sending her daughter Henley to pre-school there when she was aged two.

She told them: "Having experienced pre-school in LA and in the UK, I've found that they are very hands-on in the US. While I've had great experiences in England, they were even more creative there.

"They really changed up the activities day-to-day. It wasn't seen as just a 'babysitting' situation, it was all about the fun.

"There was a real emphasis on nature and being outside – which the weather helped with – and at Henley's preschool they had a giant turtle wandering around, and chickens and other animals too.

"When it came to activities one stood out for me as they created their very own farmer's market.

"The parents brought in fresh fruit and vegetables and the children made their own bags and they set up stalls for after school when parents could come and buy the produce."

The farmers market seems like it could be the perfect activity for Archie, who has a chicken coop dubbed "Archie's Chick Inn."

Meghan said it’s a mark of the couple’s new “authentic” lifestyle after the animals stole the show in the explosive interview with Oprah back in March.

According to the Evening Standard, chicken keeping has a royal precedent as his great, great, great, great, great-grandmother, Queen Victoria, was given seven Cochin chickens brought from China in 1842 after the First Opium War.

She enjoyed watching over her birds so much she sent the deep brown eggs to her family across Europe and started a craze for fancy chickens in America.
