Speaking to GB News, the Brexiteer issued a clear warning to the First Minister that her track record as Scotland’s leader for the past seven years does not fill the prospect of Scottish independence with much confidence as he slammed her “increasingly poor” efforts in tackling a spiralling education system, healthcare crisis, drug pandemic and now an ambulance shortage.
Mr Farage ridiculed Ms Sturgeon’s multiple failures as he said they offer evidence for the biggest risk posed to Scotland’s future if they became an independent country.
In a brutal takedown, he said: “The education system is failing, the health system is getting increasingly bad delivery.
“What is really interesting about the prospect of a referendum, and that would obviously need [Boris Johnson] to give into it…
“But Sturgeon’s problem is it will not be so much whether to separate from the United Kingdom.”

He added that instead, the biggest obstacle to a second referendum is “as much about her record in Scotland” which he branded as looking.
Mr Farage went on to slam how at some stage Nicola Sturgeon “surely has to accept some responsibility” for those areas of Scottish life for which she is responsible including the spiralling drug deaths pandemic.
His comments come as he discussed the chaos unfolding in Scotland as the British Army has been called in to operate Ambulances following a shortage of drivers.
Appearing on the show, Conservative MP for Bishop Auckland Dehenna Davison said the decision by the First Minister to call in backup shows “the power of the Union” and how much Scotland relies on its vital support in emergencies such as Coronavirus.

She slammed the First Minister, saying: “I think it is really interesting how she [Nicola Sturgeon] has come out and not entirely blamed Covid, but said Covid is largely responsible [for the Ambulance driver shortage].
“Unite has said that Covid has already exposed underlying issues in the Ambulance service.
“Clearly the issue is down to Scottish governance and yet it is the Army of the United Kingdom that is being called in to help!”
She added how the move, if nothing else, “shows another great argument for the power of the Union and how we are better together”.

The Scottish Government has for the first time asked the military for help to cope with the “intense challenges” faced by the ambulance service amid staffing shortages and increased demand.
Unions and paramedics in Scotland have warned staff is exhausted and under pressure, working extra hours and through rest breaks. It comes as Ambulance crews are routinely forced to wait several hours outside hospitals to discharge patients, they said, preventing them from taking on new jobs.
Ministers have refused to label the situation a “crisis”, despite calls from opposition MSPs to do so while Nicola Sturgeon apologised to any patients suffering “unacceptably long waits” for an ambulance.
She told MSPs on Thursday the Scottish Government was considering seeking targeted military assistance to cope with the “intense challenges” faced by the ambulance service.
