Horror as body found on road near Hereford school as cops launch urgent probe | The Sun

POLICE have cordoned off a busy walking route near a school after a man was found dead by the path.

A section of Great Western Way in Hereford, Herefordshire, was closed off yesterday afternoon as cops confirmed the tragic discovery.

An investigation has now been launched into circumstances surrounding the man's death.

The death is currently being treated as unexplained.

Uniformed and plain clothes officers were on the scene for much of the day and a police guard was in place as of yesterday afternoon.

The force is yet to release further details about the investigation or to name the man who was found.

The route is popular with walkers and cyclists running from the north side to the south side of the city.

A short detour was set up to allow pedestrians to avoid the scene.

West Mercia Police have been contacted for comment.
