Harry races back to Meghan as he’s whisked from Coronation before balcony moment

The Duke of Sussex Prince Harry left the Coronation festivities just minutes after King Charles was crowned.

Harry had all but been relegated to the background of his father's big day, finding himself on the third row during the Westminster Abbey event.

Having jacked in his position as a working royal a few years ago, he was also set to play no part in the official proceedings before, during and after the event.

And in the run up to today's events, it had been rumoured he would be jetting back to California, United States, to celebrate the birthday of his son Prince Archie which fell on the same day as the Coronation.

New images taken shortly after the culmination of the Coronation show Prince Harry being bundled into a very posh car while the rest of his family were escorted back to Buckingham Palace for the famous balcony waving and flypast moment.

It hasn't been confirmed where Harry was going, but as he was not in attendance at the balcony event, it is probably safe to say he was on his way back to an airfield to get a private jet back to his US home.

Prince Harry played no official role in the events today, but he was seen looking “nervous” while waiting for his brother Prince William and father King Charles at Westminster Abbey.

Body language expert Judi James said he showed signs of "adrenalin prompted by nerves" as the historic event unfolded.

She told the Daily Star: "As Harry waited in his seat for his father and brother to arrive there were some subliminal signs of building tension or anxiety.

"He sucked his lips in and licked them and his blink rate increased, suggesting adrenalin prompted by nerves.

"His eye-gaze fixed on his aunt Anne who was chatting in the seats in front and then his head dropped down."

King Charles entered the Abbey in an historic moment around 11am, taking away any focus on Harry – who will seemingly be playing no further part in the events for the rest of the weekend.
