Next Earth partners with Iomob and Vueling Airlines to expand its Metaverse with first-ever transportation layer

The new partnership connects Metaverse with real-world travel and logistics while increasing sustainability.

Steps for easier and more sustainable way of travelling

Get ready for the future of transportation, because sustainability-focused  Next Earth, the metaverse that has become a unicorn in less than 9 months and which now has over 45,000 virtual landowners, today announced a new partnership with Iomob, the pioneering blockchain company developing a decentralized protocol for the world’s first Mobility Marketplace Network and token. The new partnership will be carried out by Limitless, the Metaverse integrator and go-to full stack solution for established brands and startups, and will pair Iomob and Next Earth seamlessly.

The strategic alliance will be complete with the socially responsible Vueling Airlines. Together, they will collaborate on the development of tools and services that will allow “Next Earthians” to visualize and plan real-earth journeys. From now on, users will be able to take even more control of their own travel, such as tracking carbon emissions and booking “carbon positive” transport, through the Metaverse and Iomob companion app.

Gábor Retfalvi, CEO of Next Earth, explains the partnership as:

“Next Earth and Iomob are quite simply a perfect match and use case. Within Next Earth, the development of methods to visualize and experience sustainable journeys is fundamentally aligned with the natural evolution that is the foundation of our environment. This is a great new level for our company’s platform and evolution.”

Pursuing and delivering innovative solutions

The partnership between Next Earth, Iomob and Vueling Airlines brings together several unique entities that have the potential to make a significant positive impact on environmental challenges. All three members of the partnership believe in the power of innovative solutions, as proven by their continuous development:

  • Next Earth is becoming the center of the Metaversal Industrial Revolution by recreating the Earth in a unique 1:1 ratio and by taking continuous steps to realize their mission of creating the first decentralized virtual world.
  • Vueling Airlines is the first airline that allows bookings via Metaverse, adding the ability to book real flights in Next Earth and then access them via QR codes in an accompanying mobile app.
  • Iomob is a ‘real world’ transport company that helps users plan their A to B journeys while enabling the scheduling of a number of services such as taxis, scooters, public transport, parking and more. Iomob recently announced investments from True Global Ventures, A100x and Creas. Together with Vueling Airlines, this new venture will make intermodal mobility more accessible by tapping into thousands of parking spaces, 7,000 taxi fleets, micro-mobility in more than 270 cities, and over 480 public transit feeds.

A digital extension of  physical life

Boyd Cohen, CEO of Iomob said:

“The metaverse is a digital extension of physical life. We are working alongside Next Earth to create a transportation infrastructure that enables a more exciting, purposeful and immersive way to traverse the planet. We want to enable people to immerse themselves in potential journeys in the real world but in the Next Earth they can book and pay for those services in the Next Earth platform with our technology through this transportation layer. Airlines are actively strategizing about how to bring their presence into the Metaverse, so extending our relationship with Vueling Airlines to augment their Web3 bookings is a fantastic initiative for everyone.”

Jesus Monzo, Distribution Strategy and Alliances Manager of Vueling added:

“Visualizing real-world journeys and the carbon footprint for each leg, in addition to using a Metaverse interface to select and book the least environmentally harmful trip, has never been done before.”
