Alton Towers crash amputee poses in underwear for shoot she was ‘nervous’ for
A woman who lost her leg in the horrific Alton Towers crash has shared a series of stunning underwear snaps as part of her work as an ambassador for fashion brand Pour Moi.
Leah Washington, 24, recently took part in a photoshoot for the company, which sells lingerie, swimwear, nightwear and clothing.
Leah, from Barnsley, South Yorkshire, posted the snaps yesterday (Saturday 21 August) to tell her 24,000 followers about the underwear shoot, reports YorkshireLive.
She admitted she had initially been "nervous" about it, writing: "Had so much fun shooting with @pourmoiltd this week!
"I was so nervous to do an underwear shoot but honestly the @pourmoiltd team and their underwear made me feel so confident.
"The other ambassadors on the shoot also made me feel so comfortable. Such an amazing experience."
In one post, Leah confidently posed in a black underwear set before changing into a similar white set.
The brave amputee was one of five people seriously injured in the Smiler crash at Alton Towers in June 2015.
As a result of the accident, the social media influencer had to have her leg amputated – and has since spoken out about the experience.
In an Instagram post in July, Leah said that working with Pour Moi had helped build back her confidence.
She said: "Some of you may or may not know but I was involved in the Alton towers smiler accident in 2015 resulting in me having to have an amputation, before this I was just starting to feel confident in my body at the age of 17.

"After the accident it was so hard to see my friends wearing dresses, shorts and skirts and I just didn’t have the confidence to do this.
"Over the past 2 years I slowly found the confidence to go out in public wearing shorts or dresses with my prosthetic leg on show.
"It was only a couple of weeks ago I had the confidence to wear shorts on a day drinking session with my friends, something I never thought I would do.
"Being part of @pourmoiltd ambassador scheme and having the other girls in the scheme has helped me feel so much more comfortable in who I am!"
She added: "Not just from their clothing but what they stand for as a brand."
