Amazon driver filmed having stand-off with giant bear while delivering parcels
A fearless Amazon worker has had a shocking run-in with a giant bear when he was delivering parcels to a home.
The dedicated worker was caught on home security camera while having a stand-off with the wild animal in Upland, California.
House owner and nearby locals said Jimmy the giant brown bear is a frequent visitor to the neighbourhood.
In the CCTV footage shared online, house owner Josh can be heard yelling through the telecom to warn the delivery driver of Jimmy.
As the worker approaches to the gate, he says: "Stop, stop right now. There's a bear right there. That's a bear, back away!"
Josh opens the front gate and while the worker is waiting, Jimmy saunters behind the gate of the house to the stone wall of the driveway.
"Go back, go back to your car," Josh advises. "That's fine."
But the worker tries to scare it off by raising his hands in the air before the animal plunges off the stone wall and prowls into the street, leaving the Amazon employee to deliver his packages.
Josh later told Entrepreneur that he was out shopping with his wife and two children when the camera's motion sensor went off thanks to good old Jimmy the bear paying the family yet another visit.
We love catching wildlife on the cameras. By strategic positioning around the house, we've gotten some great footage besides the bear — a mountain lion easily jumping one of our fences, a pack of six coyotes walking through the yard.

"Getting the motion alerts is helpful to know when it is or isn't safe to go outside, especially with two young kids and a dog.
"We've waited to go outside and also come in early based on wildlife."
He was happy that the driver didn't get into trouble, adding that "it seemed like he knew what to do and he kept calm".
"My wife was watching the gate camera on her phone to ensure the bear really was still gone to give him the go ahead. We were watching his exit the whole time to ensure he safely left," he said.
