Experts have reported that Prince Andrew’s role in the royal family is likely to be further curbed under King Charles III’s new plans.
Often referred to as the Queen’s favourite child, the Duke of York has attempted to rehabilitate his image as he hopes to make a comeback to public life and official duties.
However, the frosty relationship between him and his older brother means that this is highly unlikely to happen.

Royal expert Nigel Cawthorne believes that Andrew’s role in public life is over.
Cawthorne is well acquainted with the royals having written many books on Andrew’s relationship with Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein.
"I can't see he's got much of a role [in the Royals] aside from Lord High Dogwalker – keeper of the royal corgis," he said.
Upon the Queen’s passing, the Duke inherited her beloved corgis – Candy, Muick, and Sandy.
Cawthorne believes that despite the civil case against the Duke being settled, the controversy around his history with Virginia Guiffre is not likely to disappear any time soon.
The Duke denied any wrongdoing and the settlement was no indication of guilt.
A tell all book by Giuffre is expected to be released soon, and plans are in the works for a movie on the Duke’s car crash Newsnight interview back in 2019 with Emily Maitlis.
He also said that Andrew will be “lucky” to keep his £30 million home in Windsor. Reports suggest Charles has allowed Andrew to stay in the Royal Lodge for now, however this could change in the future.
Another royal expert, Richard Fitzwilliams, agrees with Cawthorne.
"It isn't remotely conceivable he could get his titles and patronages back as there is no public support from him at all," Fitzwilliams said.

Andrew currently holds the role of counsellor of state which allows him to deputise from Charles temporarily if need be.
However, the Duke’s “prickly” relationship with his brother and his “dreadful” handling of recent scandals could see him further sidelined and Charles may offer this role to his sister, Princess Anne.
It is not just Prince Andrew’s dodgy friends that have raised questions, his finances are also being scruitinsed. There are calls for a parliamentary inquiry into Andrew’s mysterious finances to understand more about how he funds his lavish jet-setting lifestyle.
His only publicly known income is £20,000 – an annual pension from the Royal Navy but he is likely to have extensive investments and large sums of money from the Queen and Prince Philip’s wills.
