Europe is braced for unsettled weekend weather, according to the latest BBC forecast. BBC meteorologist Ben Rich said that while spring-like temperatures will hit places like southern Spain, much of Europe will see a return to the cold. Rain will turn to snow as a weather front sweeps across France, the Low Countries, Germany and southern Scandinavia.
Mr Rich explained: “The weather is looking quite unsettled across much of Europe this weekend.
“It is all thanks to a band of low pressure. A big low up to the north.
“It will squeeze the winds down the British Isles, meaning it will stay quite blustery.
“The same goes for France, the Low Countries, Germany and southern Scandinavia.”

“It is still pretty cold at this stage across the far-east of the continent.
“-2C is the high in Moscow on Saturday afternoon.
“But it will turn quite a lot milder here in the second half of the weekend.

“Further south-east, a large area of cloud is affecting parts of Turkey and Greece. There is a little bit of rain in places with that.
“It is mainly fine across southern Spain and southern Portugal. 19C there in Lisbon and it is feeling quite spring-like.”

“Looking ahead, there is quite cool weather to come for London and Paris, down to the single digits by Wednesday and Thursday
“Madrid should keep hold of sunshine. It will turn cold in Berlin and there is plenty of sunshine in the forecast for Athens as temperature reach 19C.”

By Sunday morning, only Scotland is shown to have a snow risk, according to the weather charts.
