Trap Queen rapper Fetty Wap has pleaded guilty to running an illicit drug operation in both New York and his native New Jersey, after cops fittingly busted the hip-hop artist with bricks of cocaine and heroine in a Long Island trap house.
The 31-year-old rapper, whose real name is Willie Junior Maxwell II, was arrested in October by federal agents for his part in alleged drug trafficking ring, and charged with conspiring to distribute hard drugs including cocaine and heroin.
The much-talked about bust saw feds who arrested Maxwell walk away with several bricks of the substances that contained the drugs, but the synthetic opioid fentanyl – a dangerous substance 50-100 times stronger than morphine – as well as $1.5million in cash.
Feds subsequently accused the embattled star of supplementing his recording income with ‘kilo-level’ drug dealing, a federal complaint against Maxwell reads – and proceeded to build a case against the star.
After his arrest, Maxwell saw himself released on a $500,000 personal recognizance bond – however, last week, the rapper was arrested again after allegedly threatening to kill a man who may have helped feds in their efforts over a Facetime call.
On Monday, Maxwell appeared in Federal Court in Central Islip to plead guilty to the charges leveled against him, which could see him put behind bars for up to nine years.
The minimum sentence for those charges, which include not only distributing the copious amount of drugs but also felony-level possession with intent to distribute, would see the star jailed for no less than five years.

Maxwell did not make a request to be released on bond and remains in custody.
Previously, two other members of the alleged drug ring arrested along with Maxwell, Robert Leonardi and Anthony Cyntje also pleaded guilty to those same charges, which are detailed in an indictment filed back in September, weeks before the bust.
Thee others were charged in relation to the October drug arrest, including a New Jersey correction officer.
All six face one count of conspiracy to distribute and possess controlled substances, and all of the defendants – except for Maxwell – also face firearms charges.
A sentencing date for the defendants has yet to be scheduled.
Maxwell, who hails from and currently resides in Patterson, was not present at the Long Island residence during the October 28 bust in Long Island, but was arrested that day while attending a music festival at Citi Field in Queens.
An indictment would then allege that the New Jersey-born artist was actually a drug kingpin, with prosecutors insisting he was a ‘kilogram-level redistributor’ that moved hundred of kilos of cocaine, heroin, fentanyl and crack.
‘As alleged, the defendants transported, distributed and sold more than 100 kilograms of deadly and addictive drugs, including heroin and fentanyl, on Long Island, deliberately contributing to the opioid epidemic that has devastated our communities and taken too many lives,’ Brookyn U.S. Attorney Breon Peace said in a statement, citing the four kilos of fentanyl seized from the residence.

The ‘Trap Queen’ rapper, who is blind in one eye due to glaucoma, hit number two on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2014 with his ballad to strippers, money and dealing crack on the gritty streets of Paterson.
In 2015, he became the first rapper to have three top 20 songs on Billboard since Eminem in 2013.
He has collaborated with Drake, French Montana, Nicki Minaj and others.
Fetty has been sued many times for copyright infringement, defamation and assault. He was arrested in 2017 for drunk driving, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and reckless endangerment after being caught drag racing on a Brooklyn highway.
His first federal drug charges came as part of the coast-to-coast operation. The feds claim that the group would buy cocaine, heroin and fentanyl in California and mail or drive it in vehicles with hidden compartment across the country.
Fetty Wap supplemented his recording artist income with ‘kilo-level’ drug dealing, according to a federal complaint.

The Trap Queen hitmaker, who is originally from New Jersey, was in Florida for his appearance at STORY Nightclub in Miami Beach
He was arrested and charged with conspiracy to distribute controlled substances last October and is currently awaiting trial after being released on $500,000 bond days later
