Full horrifying details of 12 deadly stabbings in just 14 days as Britain's knife crisis is laid bare

BRITAIN’S knife crisis has spiralled out of control once again after 12 people were stabbed to death in just 14 days.

A 17-year-old girl was one of two teenagers who were fatally stabbed last week, bringing an end to a bloody fortnight which has sent shockwaves across the UK.

Jodie Chesney was described as a “beautiful, lovely and quirky” girl by her heartbroken uncle who paid tribute to her after she killed near Romford on Friday.

Yousef Ghaleb Makki, also 17, was described as “clever and caring” after he was killed in an attack on Saturday night near Altrincham, Greater Manchester.

New figures show the number of kids being rushed to hospital with stab wounds has soared by 93 per cent in five years.

And it isn’t just Lawless London which is feeling the brunt of youngsters using knives to cause chaos on the streets.

Recent analysis compiled by Channel 4’s dispatches programme showed knife crime was twice as high outside London as it is in the capital.

Here is a look at the 12 people who lost their lives to knife crime in the last two weeks:

March 2: Yousef Ghaleb Makki, 17, Manchester

The teenager, from Burnage, was killed in an attack in an upmarket Manchester suburb home to a string of millionaire footballers.

He was described as “clever and caring” after he was killed in an attack at 6.20pm on Saturday.

Two teens, also 17, were arrested on suspicion of murder following the horrific attack.

The incident took place in upmarket Hale Barns, Cheshire, and less than 600 yards from the homes of Manchester United stars Paul Pogba and Victor Lindelof.

There is no evidence to suggest the murder was gang related.

March 2: Elize Linda Stevens, 50, Barnet

Ms Stevens was found stabbed to death at her home in North London on Saturday morning.

A 54-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder after the killing.

Ms Stevens and the man arrested are understood to have been known to each other.

March 1: Jodie Chesney, 17, Romford

The tragic teenager was stabbed in the back as she sat on a park with her devastated boyfriend.

Her frantic boyfriend cradled her as she lay dying and begged: “Please, please, stay awake.”

The Girl Scout was approached by a gang of balaclava-clad youths at Harold Hill park in Romford, Essex.

The A-level student is said to have been stabbed so hard that the weapon snapped — leaving the blade lodged in her body.

Witnesses described hearing “blood-curdling” screams for help from her boyfriend, named locally as Eddie Coyle.

February 25: Connor Brown, 18, Sunderland

Aspiring boxer Connor Brown was rushed to hospital after being found with stab wounds outside a pub in Sunderland city centre.

The 18-year-old was knifed behind The Borough pub and was pronounced dead after being taken to hospital.

His mum burst into tears when she visited the scene of the brutal attack.

The electrical engineering student became the third teenager to die in a stabbing in 12 days and his friends said they had no idea why he was targeted.

February 25: David Lopez-Fernandez, 38, Bethnal Green

Cops were called to an address in East London last Monday to reports of a stabbing.

They found Spanish national David Lopez-Fernandez had been stabbed and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Jairo Sepulveda-Garcia, 36, also Spanish, was charged with murder.

February 23: Phillip Rooney, 32, Manchester

The dad-of-two was stabbed in his stomach at a property in Leigh, Greater Manchester.

His heartbroken family paid tribute and described him as “witty, caring, fun-loving with a kind heart”.

February 23: Kamali Gabbidon-Lynck, 19, Wood Green

The teenager was stabbed to death in a North London hair salon after being ambushed by a gang of thugs.

They were armed with guns and a samaurai sword and Kamali “ran for his life” when he was chased by the attackers on bikes.

His 20-year-old friend was stabbed and shot in the head but miraculously survived.

However, Kamali was pronounced dead shortly after the attack.

West Midlands Police launched a murder investigation and have not made any arrests.

February 18: Bright Akinleye, 22, Euston

The 22-year-old was stabbed in a street near Euston station before staggering into a hotel lobby where he collapsed and died.

It is understood a group of people had been filming a drill rap music video in an alleyway near Euston Street shortly before a fight broke out.

A friend denied that he was part of a gang and said Akinleye was not a violent man.

Eleven people – four men and seven women aged 19 to 28 – were arrested on suspicion of murder but have since been released on bail.

February 17: Mohammed Sidali, 16, Birmingham

Mohammed Sidali is understood to have been attacked by a masked knifeman outside a sixth-form school.

He was left in a coma but his devastated family were forced to switch his life support off two days later.

Mohammed, who fled Somalia, with his family as a toddler, was described as an "honourable young man who strived to do his best".

A 16-year-old boy was charged with attempted murder and was remanded in custody after appearing at Birmingham Magistrates' Court.
