GLASGOW Airport has been locked down after a suspicious item was found during hand luggage checks.
It's understood travellers are not being allowed through security after the suspicious item was found in a passengers bag at around 6am this morning.

Photos from the scene show a large emergency service presence including the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.
The terminal has been closed down but is not understood to have been evacuated.
And photos from inside the airport show queue chaos as thousands of travellers are stranded at check-in desks unable to proceed through the terminal.
It's understood a bomb disposal unit is now on the scene.
Cops could be seen talking to airport officials and travellers are seen queueing at check-in desks waiting to try and get through security.
The airport posted on their Facebook page to inform passengers of the situation saying: "The Airport's central search area is closed due to an ongoing police incident.
