Glastonbury 2019 maps: how to find your way around the festival
GLASTONBURY 2019 will be enjoyed by tens of thousands of music fans visiting a site that sprawls across more than 1,100 acres.
So a map is essential if you want to navigate what's essentially a city of 140,000 people.
Are there maps for Glastonbury 2019?
Yes there are. The best one has been made by Glastonbury’s mobile network operator EE.
It is within the official mobile app which is an essential interactive guide to the four day monster festival at Worthy Farm.
Along with a crucial interactive map, it includes a wide range of features, including personalised line-ups and up-to-date news and announcements.
EE provides phone charging at its tent as well as 5G for the entire site.
But it is still essential to print out a map, just in case your phone runs out of juice or it’s lost in the maelstrom.
This can be done on the festival website.
What’s the best gate to go into Glastonbury?
If you have been dropped off, there is a bus over to Pedestrian Gate A.
This gives quicker access to the site, which is vital if you are carrying your camping gear.
It is possible to tramp over there from the coach drop-off point, or a little further along to Pedestrian Gate D.
Gate A is the entrance to the festival between the John Peel Stage and Silver Hayes.
And gates A and D are great for drivers parking in the yellow, pink or orange car parks.
Those heading to the car parks in purple or blue, should enter via Pedestrian Gate B or C.
That will bring you in above the Pyramid field.
Gate C will put you in the thick of the Theatre field and West Holts.
