Prince Harry looks "unhappy" and "homesick" in California as Meghan Markle attempts to forge a "perfect LA life" for the pair, according to a royal expert.
The comments came after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex jetted back across the pond following their brief stint in the UK for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations at the start of this month.
The ex-royal couple live there in the exclusive neighbourhood of Montecito in an £11million mansion, and recently Meghan was photographed watching Harry play polo at their local club.

However, despite their luxurious lifestyle, royal author Duncan Larcombe reckons that Harry's "self-imposed exile" may be getting him down.
Speaking to Closer he said: "He seems homesick to me. Harry’s suddenly playing polo again and drinking with his new friends – all things he used to enjoy doing in the UK.
"Meghan is cheering him on on the sidelines, helping create this perfect LA life for him to justify what he’s given up in the UK. But something doesn’t seem to sit right. Harry looks unhappy.
"He is living out there in self-imposed exile and Harry is a very sociable person.
"In his formative years he had lots of friends – including his estranged brother William – and was always spending time with them. He must sometimes wonder if everything he has given up has been worth it."
January this year marked two years since Harry and Meghan sensationally announced they were quitting life as working members of the Royal Family.

Two months after that was when they hopped on a plane to LA.
Since then the Sussexes have reportedly amassed a long list of celebrity pals who live in Montecito – including Orlando Bloom and Kate Perry whose children are said to have had play dates with Archie and Lilibet.
Oprah Winfrey – whose bombshell interview with the Sussexes aired in March last year – is also said to be among their new pals.
