Meghan Markle’s sister accuses Duchess of ‘negligence’ after their dad’s stroke
Meghan Markle's sister has accused the Duchess of Sussex of negligence following the stroke their father Thomas Markle suffered.
Estranged sister Samantha Markle fumed after her father was rushed for emergency treatment after suffering a stroke, with Markle, 57, saying Meghan should stop "watching and doing nothing".
Samantha compared her sibling's lack of action to "negligence" after she was accused of failing to contact her family after the news first broke of Thomas Markle's ailing health earlier this week.
Mr Markle, 77, a retired lighting director, lost his speech after a stroke just a week before he had been due to fly to London for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
It is not yet known whether Meghan will visit her father, who lives just a few hours away from the home she and Prince Harry share in Montecito, California.
Samantha Markle became emotional as she spoke of Meghan's "negligence" while being interviewed on GBNews.
The 57-year-old said: "He's been through so much. Two heart attacks, a pandemic and now a stroke. None of us have heard from Meghan – that's negligence.
"If she can't find it in her heart or have the moral conscience to step forward then shame on her. He doesn't have a lot of time. She's going to have to live with that for the rest of her life."

Samantha continued: "She sees all of this. I’m getting the feeling that I would be spinning my wheels to try and appeal to her heart now.
"She could have contacted him to work things out at any time and she hasn’t. How can she watch him suffer like this? Who does that?"
It is not the first time Thomas Markle's health has been the centre of attention for the Royal Family, with the 77-year-old unable to walk Meghan down the aisle at her wedding in 2018, with Prince Charles stepping in on the special day, Daily Mail reported.
