Moment driver repeatedly rams his 4×4 into family home with father and three children inside

• Police investigating the attack in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, want witnesses

This is the shocking moment a 4×4 car was repeatedly rammed into a home in an unexplained and ‘terrifying’ attack with a family believed to be inside.    

Police are investigating after the Shogun was seen battering the property in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, at about 10pm last Thursday. 

The 4×4 could be seen slamming into the house and the walls, speeding away before police arrived. 

A neighbour reported hearing ‘banging’ and said he believes a father and his three children were inside the property at the time. 

Police have urged anyone with information to come forward.

Footage shows the car ramming into the wall and house in Dewsbury, west Yorkshire 

In the footage, the car is seen already parked in the house driveway before the carnage begins.

Twice, the unidentified driver pulls forward out of the driveway and then slams into reverse to batter the front door.

He then pulls out again and aims the back of the car at the garden wall, one side of the driveway, and reverses into it.

After taking a chunk out of that side of the wall, he does the same to the other side of the wall. 

Tabassum Naeem, 54, who lives opposite, said: ‘I heard all this banging.

‘So my two sons and I came out to see what was happening. The main door was already damaged.

‘I couldn’t recognise the man doing this as it was too dark but one of my sons managed to take part of his registration plate down and gave it to the police.

‘I was really shocked. I know the family. The dad is a very nice man with two sons and a daughter. It must have been absolutely terrifying for them.’

The car sped away before police arrived at the scene – detectives are now appealing for information

West Yorkshire Police said: ‘Police are investigating after a vehicle drove into a property on Ravenshouse Road, Dewsbury on Thursday, 16 March, at 10.04pm. Enquiries are ongoing.
