Mum of 15 faked death after making kids ‘watch as she boiled puppies alive’
A sick mum allegedly beat her children and forced them to watch as she boiled newborn puppies alive in a big pot.
Martha Crouch from New Mexico, US reportedly faked her own death in the hope of escaping the probation restraints placed on her over the horrific child abuse case.
But law enforcement officers discovered the 58-year-old alive hiding behind a false wall in her husband's trailer in Huerfano County, Colorado – 250 miles from her home.

Officers made the discovery after they were called to the trail following reports of a man suffering a medical emergency in a yard on August 17.
When law enforcement arrived they found her husband Timothy, 62 dead on the lawn.
According to KRDO one of his adult daughters told authorities there were siblings in the trailer being abused and urged them to help.
Police realised the link to Crouch and discovered there was an arrest warrant for her dating back to 2021 for violating probation and then vanishing.
That probation stemmed from horrific child and animal abuse charges, to which she pleaded guilty in 2019 before arriving at a plea deal two years later on one felony charge.
Several of the children accused the woman of beating her children with kitchen tools, chaining one to a bedpost to force them to lose weight, as well as fatally shooting one of their dogs.

She was also accused of forcing her children to watch as she boiled four newborn puppies alive in their kitchen.
And one of her daughters also alleged that after becoming pregnant at 14, the mom beat her so severely that she miscarried.
When police returned to the trailer with a warrant, they were met by one of the Crouch children, who said their mom had died years before.

Police then searched the trailer, and found a false wall where Martha Crouch was hiding.
The mom was arrested on an outstanding warrant and also hit with new misdemeanour child abuse charges, and obstructing police during their investigation.
She is being held in a Colorado jail on a $5,000 bond.
