Murder-accused dad ‘hit and shook two-year-old daughter until body was lifeless’
A dad accused of murdering his two-year-old daughter and stuffing her into a duffle bag allegedly tried to give her crystal meth before she died.
It is claimed that Travis Rodrigues swore at, hit and shook defenceless Kytana Ancog until her body was lifeless.
Police in Aiea, Hawaii, say Rodrigues has confessed to the crime. Kytana was last seen on January 31 after her mother dropped her off at the suspect's home.
Scott Carter, 48, has also been arrested in connection with the tragic baby's death after he allegedly helped Rodrigues cover up the crime. He is also said to have confessed.
A witness who was at Rodrigues' home told investigators that she saw him slapping his daughter and swearing at her.
He allegedly yelled at the toddler: "Shut the f*** up! Get out here!"
It is then claimed that Rodrigues said: "F*** that baby," adding that he had her for "three f***ing days already."
The witness then said he tried to give Kytana crystal meth, claiming she liked it. The witness said she also saw Kytana with bruises and marks on her mouth and all over her body.

When investigators quizzed Rodrigues, he reportedly admitted hitting and slapping the child, as well as swearing at her while under the influence of meth.
Rodrigues is claimed to have said he began “squeezing her against his chest,” until she became “lifeless.”
Investigators say the dad admitted wrapping her in a blanket and putting her body in the duffle bag, although he never called 911 and was not sure if Kytana was dead.
Rodrigues and Carter drove to a friend’s home, with the latter saying, “don’t worry about it, I’ll take care of it,” in reference to the bag.
Rodriques ended up staying at the friend’s home as Carter drove off. Rodriques claims he has no idea where his daughter was taken to and Kytana’s body has still not been found.
Rodrigues has been charged with second-degree murder and remains behind bars on a $2 million (£1.43m) bond.
Carter has been charged with first-degree hindering prosecution. He remains behind bars on a $1 million (£719,000) bond.
