Nicola Bulley’s partner says ‘hope is stronger than ever’ she’ll be found alive

The partner of missing woman Nicola Bulley has said that the hope that she’ll be found safe and well is “stronger than ever”.

Dad-of-two Paul Ansell said in an emotional Facebook post that despite the “agony” he and Nicola’s two girls, aged six and nine, are feeling over a week on from her disappearance, “the hope is stronger than ever of finding [her]”.

He added that he and the family believe she is still alive, saying that they are not entertaining any other possibility until police give them solid evidence.

“We need a happy ending to this nightmare”, he said.

Paul asked members of the public who were in the area on January 27, the day of Nicola’s disappearance, to hand in any dashcam footage, particularly if they were in the Garstang Lane area of St. Michael’s-on-Wyre, Lancashire.

Lancashire Police, which is investigating, have said this area is a CCTV blindspot and potentially leaves a lot unaccounted for in the timeline of Nicola’s disappearance.

Paul also asked people to keep a positive attitude as the search for the 45-year-old continues.

“Let's find Nikki – My beautiful partner and our girls’ amazing mummy”, he said.

Paul’s post came eight days after Nicola Bulley first went missing while walking her dog after dropping her kids off to school on the morning of January 27.

Now, a “key witness” has come forward after Lancashire Police posted a CCTV image of a person believed to have been in the area when Nicola went missing.

Police currently believe that there is a 10-minute window between 9:20 am and 9:30 am where she fell into the river during her walk, though her family and friends have refuted this, saying that there is little hard evidence to back this up.

Police don't currently believe that Nicola’s disappearance is suspicious.

Family and friends are confused by the police’s statements, with friend of the family Heather Gibbons telling GBNews: “I thought that maybe there had been some evidence come to light that I hadn't heard of at that point.”
