One person killed in Aurora crash

One person has been killed in a crash on South Parker Road in Aurora.

Two vehicles, a Jeep Grand Cherokee and a BMW, were involved in the crash that happened Saturday on Parker near East Quincy Avenue, according to the Aurora Police Department.

The driver of the BMW “driver of the BMW lost control of the vehicle as it was driving southbound on Parker,” according to a 6:30 p.m. update. “It crossed the median and collided with the Jeep that was in the northbound lane.”

The BMW driver died later, police said.

The Jeep’s three occupants are expected to survive, police said.

Parker Road’s northbound lanes were shut down for several hours after the crash but have reopened.
