Police hunt for baby in ‘extreme danger’ after shooting leaves four dead
A frantic search for a baby suspected to be in "extreme danger" has been launched after a shooting left four people dead – including a young child.
Missing six-month-old Malia Halfacre disappeared from the east side of Indianapolis, in the US, following what police describe as a "domestic" homicide.
The city's Metropolitan Police Department told WRTV the force believe Malia is in "extreme danger" and with a man driving a 2012 Chevy Impala.
IMPD Officer Genae Cook said the child is believed to be in a vehicle with a God We Trust Plate CJA272.
An amber alert has been issued for the Impala.
Mr Cook added that members of the public should not approach the car, but urged them to call authorities if they spot it.
An active search is underway for missing Malia, who disappeared from a house where four people were found dead on Saturday March 13.
IMPD said police arrived on scene at approximately 8.15pm local time and found a woman who was in a critical condition.
The woman was rushed to hospital and is in a stable condition, the IndyStar reported.
