Fellow HGV driver Luke Tester, who captured the chaos on his dashcam, said the man behind the wheel appeared to be 'nodding off' when he eventually overtook him.Other cars can be seen passing the lorry as its rear end swings dangerously from side-to-side.Luke, 34, said: "I've been driving HGVs for 10 years and I've never seen anything like it. He could have killed someone."At first I thought they must be using their phone or satnav or whatever but when I finally went past the guy looking like we was nodding off."It was as if he'd fallen asleep because his head was right over the wheel and almost touching the windscreen. It was crazy."He swerved right across from the outside lane, across the middle land and over to the slip-road coming in on the left."The lorry was totally out of control. It doesn't matter how far you've got to go or where you're driving, if you're tired you need to take a break."If it had swerved back into one of the cars overtaking him, it would have been game over."Luke, from Woking, Surrey, was on his way to deliver plant hire machinery in Essex when he spotted the vehicle driving erratically. It bore the name of Stok-Pol, a logistics and freight company based in Siedice, Poland.Luke said: "I was just going along as normal and tried to keep my distance at first. The cars behind me probably didn't realise how dangerous it was being.

"They were overtaking in the outside lane as normal but for a while the whole lorry was across two lanes and he didn't seem to notice at all."My wagon weighs 44 tonnes and I'd hate to think what would have happened if he collided with anyone."As I went past I was tooting the horn and shouting for him to wake up and he just pulled over really sharply to the hard shoulder."I've never seen anyone actually fall asleep at the wheel before. It was incredibly stupid."Stok-Pol were contacted for comment but did not respond.
