Sicko sets up fake fundraiser for woman mauled by dog and tries to swindle £5k
A twisted fraudster has created a fake fundraising page for a woman mauled to death by her dog.
They are trying to cash in on Keira Ladlow's tragic death by creating a crowdfunding page in the victim's name and a new Facebook page to direct mourners to donate.
The 25-year-old died on Friday afternoon, February 5, in Kitts Green, east Birmingham.
A neighbour claimed that Ms Ladlow was sleeping when rescue dog, believed to be a bull mastiff, attacked her.
Police are yet to name the victim, but touching tributes to Keira Ladlow have been shared across social media by family and friends.

An account was created this morning to imitate Ms Ladow's dad Paul, with the user sharing links to the page.
It has since been deleted, and the real Paul Ladlow has warned others of the scam.
Using the site GoGetFunding, the fraudster titled the page "Keira Ladlow Funeral Fund", accompanied by a photo taken from her Facebook page.
No description was provided as is customary but by midday on Sunday, February 7, two people had already fallen victim to the scam.
A total of £10 has so far been donated of the £5,000 requested.

The fake Paul Ladow account was later replaced with a new one, this time under the name of Michelle Marlow.
In response to their repeated comments, Ms Ladlow's loved ones encouraged others not to fall for the scam.
One person wrote: "Been to see family they don’t want This up. Do not donate to this family said they haven’t give permission." [sic]
