The yellow weather warning will be in place across much of Scotland from 06:00 until 22:00 on Tuesday, covering Angus, Perth & Kinross, Aberdeenshire, Moray and Highland. The Met Office urged Scots to plan their travel routes carefully as the bitter conditions could cause delays to trains as well as make roads difficult to drive on. Arctic air is expected to carry with it lows of -6C overnight in Scotland, with milder temperatures ranging from 1 and 4C in the midlands and 5 to 8C in the south.
