Taco Bell is Colorado’s most popular fast food joint, says survey
Chipotle may be Colorado’s homegrown fast-food chain, but another Mexican-inspired joint takes the cake as residents’ favorite.
According to consumer price aggregator Pricelisto, Taco Bell ranks as the No. 1 most popular fast-food eatery in the Centennial State. That’s according to Google search data that the website analyzed over the last year, weighing search interest and popularity.
Chipotle and its massive burritos does come in at the No. 2 most popular, however, followed by McDonald’s, Dairy Queen and Wendy’s. Burger King, Domino’s, Subway, Chick-Fil-a and Arby’s round out the top 10, Pricelisto said.
Of course, local options abound in Denver and beyond if you’re looking for authentic Mexican food. Earlier this year, Yelp released its top 100 taco spots in the U.S., which included four Colorado-based taquerias. And in the spring, The Denver Post’s readers crowned Kike’s Red Tacos the best local taco joint in the region.
