Terrifying moment a small plane dodges traffic to land on a busy HIGHWAY after running into technical difficulties in Michigan

This is the terrifying moment a small plane dodged traffic to land on a busy highway in Michigan after running into technical difficulties. 

Footage shows the small white aircraft landing on the busy northbound US-10 highway in Evart, west Michigan.

Two men onboard the flight were forced to touch down on the highway after they experienced technical difficulties, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office said, without elaborating.

Footage captured by Kamrin Grein then shows the aircraft taxi off into the distance on the busy road as several cars grind to a halt. 

Meceola Central Dispatch warned nearby drivers to avoid the area as several units escorted the plane off the highway to a gravel pit run by the country’s road commission on Wednesday, the statement added. 

No injuries were reported.

‘Oh for flying out loud!’, a statement from the Sheriff’s office said. 

‘Drivers may have noticed a disrupted commute this afternoon when two males used US-10 as an emergency airport after experiencing technical difficulties.

‘Multiple units worked to escort the plane from US-10 to the Osceola County Road Commission gravel pit on 135th Avenue. 

‘Plane and simple, we’re just thankful there were no injuries! 

‘We’d like to thank Meceola Central Dispatch, the Hersey Fire Department, Reed City Fire Department, Emergency Management Director Mark Watkins, RCB Construction, Reed City Towing, and the Road Commission Foreman for all of the assistance.’

No injuries were reported following the emergency landing, officials said, adding the operation was ‘plane and simple’
