Terrorist with ‘target on his back’ ambushed and stabbed in ‘revenge attack’
A terrorist who drove his van into worshippers outside a mosque has been stabbed in prison.
Darren Osborne, 53, was slashed with a “shank” in what is being described as a “revenge” attack by an inmate.
In June 2017, Osborne killed one man and injured a further 12 as his vehicle smashed into the crowds outside a mosque.

The attack is thought to be the third time Osborne has been victim to since he’s been behind bars.
The sick killer is in the cage for a minimum of 43 years for his horrific act, which saw him attack the crowd outside Finsbury Park Mosque, North London.
A source from HMP Frankland in County Durham told the Sun that Osborne has been left badly scarred by the attack.
They said: “Osborne has been walking around with a target on his back as there are a few Muslim gangs in the prison.”
Inmates are understood to have kept watch while the attacker set about Osborne with a homemade knife, the source added.

“He tried to gouge an eye out and strangle him, but guards stopped him.”
The source added that the dad of four “needs stitches” and was lucky his injuries weren’t more severe.
Osborne was also stabbed in the forehead at Full Sutton jail near York in 2020 but is claimed by the source to have not spent long in hospital this time around, but is now being isolated for his own safety.
The source added: “The attacker was banged into segregation.”
The year before that he also had boiling water thrown on his face at Wakefield Prison, West Yorkshire.
Police are understood to be investigating the latest incident.
A lag-on-lag attack was confirmed by the prison service and said that “minor injuries” had been suffered.
