Property hunters are likely to be amazed and horrified in equal measure following the listing of a two-bed house in Cornwall with caved in roofs and stain-riddled carpets.

Situated just five miles from the Cornwall coast in the historic town of Camborne, this property is almost 50 per cent cheaper than the average listing in the area – and it’s not hard to see why.  

From the outside the mid-terrace house looks like a quaint, country home. But the clue in the property listing is that it reads: ‘In need of extensive renovation.’

The terraced house (centre), painted brown, is just five miles from the seaside, but inside there’s a lot of work that needs to be done including ceiling repairs, carpet cleaning and rubbish removal. The £100,000 asking price is not necessarily a bargain

The home is not exactly prepared for winter – the ceiling is caving in the living room and one of the bedrooms. By the time you’ve renovated this property rising gas prices will be the least of your financial concerns.

The bed is propped up against the wall revealing stains on the carpet and there are piles of clothes, books and CDs you’d struggle to give away for free.

Not to mention the rubbish littered throughout the house and the big bin bags in the bathroom.

Even the garden is overgrown and needs a lot of work done to it.

Only the kitchen looks relatively in order, although a professional clean is a must before you host your first Sunday roast.

The property in Camborne, Cornwall is in the constituency of George Eustice – who is ironically Minister for Environment and Rural Affairs.

Estate agents Bradleys are selling the pad and it’s also on Rightmove.

The listing reads: ‘Bradleys are pleased to offer to the market, in need of extensive renovation and updating this two bedroom mid terraced character cottage located within the heart of the historic town of Camborne.’

But there is no other mention of the mess.

The previous occupants laundry can be found hung up to dry in the bathroom, alongside rubbish bin bags and a step ladder  

What isn’t stained is simply covered by more rubbish in this £100,000 Cornwall home. If this is what the bedroom looks like, you dread to think what kind of state the loft is in. The lilac curtains are a nice touch, however.

Of the lounge, it continues: ‘Double glazed window to the front, feature fireplace, carpeted flooring, electric heating.’

Discussing the bedroom, it adds: ‘Double glazed window to the front, carpeted flooring, access to the loft via a hatch.’

The listing continues: ‘To the rear there is an enclosed garden with a hardstanding path leading to a gate.

‘Detached garage with side access, metal up and over door to a private parking area for one car accessed off a rear lane.’
