A Ukrainian model who has strutted his stuff for Prada on the catwalk has swapped mohair sweaters and satin pants for a military uniform, heading to support his people on the frontline near Kyiv – branding Vladimir Putin an "old fart motherf****r."
Lev Uliesov, a fashion model from Brovary, a city on the outskirts of Kyiv, has modelled for some of the world's top brands, including Givenchy, Hugo Boss, and Berluti. He closed the show for Prada at Milan Fashion Week in 2019.
But now the young man, who turns 21 on March 21, is using his medical training to help out on the frontline in his country's capital and has swapped his expensive clothing for camo and a rifle.
"I’m a combat medic and my plan is to save people from the hot locations, do first aid help on the ground, and move the bodies out of the frontline," the model, who trained in psychology for one-and-a-half years, told the Daily Star.
During the war, which started 11 days ago, he signed a document that states he will "stay here till it’s over."
Ukraine is 'decimating' Russian forces as Putin's plan 'fails', admiral claims
The Ukrainian military destroyed four enemy infantry fighting vehicles, two tanks and captured one infantry armored vehicle in Lev's hometown, an important passage into Kyiv, on Thursday, March 3, adding to a series of losses for Russia.
Asked what he would say if he could speak directly to Putin, Lev responded: "I just want to see his eyes, no words."
"I don’t know what is inside his head, but I’m pretty sure he was surprised and shocked after realizing our mindset," he added, referring to his country's resistance against a much larger force.
World War Three and nuclear war fears have been escalating since Russia invaded Ukraine.
Vladimir Putin's military is known for showing off the force of its weapons of mass destruction – which has left Ukrainians, and those further away, fearing the threat of being hit with nuclear bombs.

Asked if he is afraid of a nuclear war, Lev said no, adding: "If this old fart motherf***** will do a nuclear war to us, we won't need to run because everybody gonna die, so why should I be scared?"
He said he won't just passively wait for the Russians to leave either, adding that Ukrainians will "give it back to them in 10x size more what they gave to us."
Describing how quickly the 11-day-old invasion happened, he said: "I drive to the location [of a battle] and one day it's sunny and everything is okay, another day there is no houses anymore and dead people on the ground. I saw dead people."
"My plan is to win the war, broski," he added.
And his ambitions may be founded. Russia declared a ceasefire in Ukraine on Saturday, March 5, to allow innocent civilians to escape the conflict from Mariupol and Volnovakha, but for now fighting continues in Kyiv, as the city prepares for a Russian advance.
