The UK's so-called "most dangerous" optical illusion has left a pensioner with bloodied hands after the man fell over, tricked by the mirage.
Almost 60 people have been injured over the past year by a cycle lane vision, and Dave Dawson, 76, is the most recent person to fall for the Somerset-based bike lane.
Keynsham High Street saw a cycle lane installed after nine months of work, but its opening on March 2022 has left people falling into the road with a worrying consistency.

Residents and those passing through the area have hit out at the "hidden" kerbs in the area for looking flat when actually make for a raised edge.
The pavement problem is so dangerous, 21 people have filed personal injury actions against North East Somerset Council and the Liberal Democrats, who hold a seat in Bath, DailyMail reported.
Dave, explaining the incident, said: "I was walking along the pavement, and it's sort of like an optical illusion; it looks as is if it's all level.
"I was walking back towards the church and stepped with my right foot on the edge of the pavement because it looked flat, and I lost my balance and fell down.
"I cut the palms of my hands and my knees a bit because the surface of the cycle lane is very sharp."

But this was not a one-time issue for the pensioner, who ended up falling from the pavement a second time on a return trip.
He added: "When I came back up the road, I was obviously quite conscious of the curb because I'd fallen over, and lo and behold, I fell over going back as well! Exactly the same."
Of the 21 cases currently against the council, seven have been rejected and the rest remain under investigation.
Dave has no intention to "make a claim or anything like that" but did believe the council had "made a mistake" and they should try and rectify it.
The Daily Star has contacted North East Somerset Council for a comment.
