Taylor is Managing Director of removalists Pickfords and is one of four "Big Bosses" who donned a disguise to go undercover within their business.

Who is Mark Taylor?

Taylor has been a Pickfords employee for over 30 years and was made Managing Director in 2018.

His LinkedIn says he's a "hands-on Managing Director, with a passion for service quality, and for encouraging new people to establish their careers within the removals industry".

In 2017, he spearheaded Pickfords' award-winning apprenticeship scheme which led to the company appearing in Centrica's top 100 Employers List.

Taylor describes himself as "a Kent boy through and through and always will be," according to KentLive.

He said he went through four "screen tests" before being offered a slot on the ITV show.

"We were contacted by the producers. We discussed it and I had to do three of four screen tests then we got selected. That's how it came about," he said.

"Was I personally hesitant about putting myself on telly? Of course, that's not a natural thing for me.

"The concept of the show is really good and that's what made me do it in the end. I put my business hat on and going undercover to discover things to improve your business made it a no-brainer.

He runs Britain's largest and oldest removal company with a £50m turnover.

Taylor is big Maidstone United fan and used to be involved in the club's youth setup as a manager. He still regularly attends matches.
