Serial killer Peter Tobin ‘admits he’s committed more murders’ as battles cancer
Serial killer Peter Tobin has reportedly admitted to committing more murders – but denied rumours that he is Glasgow maniac Bible John to his jail mate.
The shocking claims have been made by a fellow convict who believes Tobin is “getting things off his chest” before he dies from cancer, the Daily Record reports.
Tobin, 74, is serving three life sentences for killing three young girls between 1991 and 2006.
He butchered Angelica Kluk, 23, Vicky Hamilton, 15, and Dinah McNicol, 18, but has been linked to a string of unsolved deaths across Britain.
It’s the first time he has spoken about the rumours he is Bible John – who kept Glasgow in a state of fear after the deaths of Patricia Docker, 25, Jemima McDonald, 32, and Helen Puttock, 29, in 1968 and 1969.
Police investigated whether he has links to the Bible John killings but could not find any evidence.
Now Tobin has told his jail mate: “People just think I am Bible John but I’m not. It wasn’t me. Nothing to do with me. I didn’t kill them.”
Prison insiders said the serial killer is a loner who rarely talks about his crimes.

But as his health deteriorates, he has reportedly started talking more about his past.
The fellow convict said: “He was talking to me about his past and said he wasn’t Bible John. He didn’t seem that fussed about it.
“I believe him when he says about not being Bible John as he said stuff about his other murders that haven’t been made public.

"Maybe he wants to get stuff off his chest before he dies but it’s stomach-churning.”
He added Tobin claimed his first killing was in Glasgow when he was in his early 20s.
He said: “He told me things about some of the murders he’s committed and said things about other murders police don’t know about and bodies they’ve been looking for but haven’t found.

Serial killer Peter Tobin says ‘I couldn’t give a f**k’ about victims families
Tobin has been in and out of hospital with suspected strokes and heart attacks.
Former detective superintendent David Swindle said: “There is no evidence to indicate Tobin was involved in the murders of these women or indeed sufficient evidence to indicate one person was responsible for these murders.
"Unhelpful speculation regarding Tobin’s alleged crimes based on no evidence or theories isn’t helpful for families who have lost a loved one in unresolved circumstances.
“The murders of these three women in the 1960s have been reviewed on numerous occasions over the years, indeed by myself when I was DCI in Glasgow City Centre in 2002 and again as part of Operation Anagram which examined the life of Peter Tobin and potential crimes he had committed.”.
