Mum fighting for life after being crushed between two cars by hit-and-run driver
A mum-of-four is fighting for her life and is unlikely to survive after her head was crushed between two cars in a shocking hit-and-run incident.
Florence Ngwu, 49, was rammed by the driver of a stolen Ford F-550 truck as she stepped between two parked cars to prevent them fleeing in Queens, New York, USA.
The truck had hit several cars whilst attempting a U-turn and knocked down two other pedestrians on Sunday (May 8) at around 8.30am (local time).
Police are still hunting for the driver after the stolen motor was found abandoned roughly a mile-and-a-half away.
The horror incident unfolded as Ngwu's daughter looked on, with the young girl being heard screaming "Mummy! Mummy!" in a video as the driver speeds off.
Ngwu's niece, 29-year-old Nnenna B, told the New York Post: "The doctors are basically saying they don't want to give us false hope.
"They came to my uncle and said it's up to him what he wants to happen now, because we saw what she looked like and we could see for ourselves that things are looking terrible.
"He told the doctor to please keep fighting.

"My aunt is a very strong woman. She’s a strong lady, strong-willed and strong-hearted person. He said please keep fighting for her until she gives up herself."
Ngwu had walked down the street to see what the commotion was after one of her daughter's cars was hit.
In the video of the incident, which left a Daily Mail police source "heartbroken", several neighbours can be seen running into the road to block the driver's escape.
"Oh my God, this car’s hitting all these cars, bro," the person behind the camera is heard saying.
Ngwu is then rammed by the driver, with her head pinned between one vehicle and the bumper of another.
According to the Daily Mail, Ngwu was rushed to the nearby Jamaica Hospital in a critical condition.
