Crypto IRA platform iTrustCapital Integrates Coinbase Custody for Digital Asset Security
Digital asset IRA platform iTrustCapital has integrated with Coinbase Custody to add layers to its security for assets held on the platform.
iTrustCapital is disrupting the $34.9 Trillion in US retirement assets market by serving as an intermediary tool for clients to directly buy, sell, and trade cryptocurrencies and physical gold in real-time through their retirement accounts. iTrustCapital’s revolutionary, IRS-compliant platform ditches the costly inefficiencies and outdated processes that have traditionally plagued IRS models, allowing investors to safely, simply, and legally move money from their IRA or 401(k) into the cryptocurrency and gold markets at a fraction of the cost of other IRA companies.
Coinbase Custody provides financial controls for institutions and companies seeking to trade digital currencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum. Arriving after the emergence of numerous hedge funds that target the digital currency space, the offering is designed to provide institutions with tailored custodial offerings. In addition to offering industry-leading segregated cold storage, Coinbase Custody undergoes routine financial and security audits by trusted auditing organizations, maintaining both SOC1 Type II and SOC2 Type II certification. Assets are also backed by a $255 million commercial crime insurance policy, renewed annually.
According to iTrustCapital, the integration not only cement its place as the top crypto IRA company in the industry, but further strengthens its 24/7 security to help ensure clients’ assets are protected from all kinds of attacks.
“We’re very excited about this integration with a trusted leader in the crypto space, particularly on the heels of the exponential growth we’ve experienced this year. Our team has done an excellent job onboarding thousands of new active monthly users with assets under management totaling more than $1 billion, and total trade volume exceeding $1.5 billion so far this year. Going forward we’re well-positioned to capitalize on the growing demand for investors to include digital assets and physical gold in their retirement accounts,” said Todd Southwick, CEO, iTrustCapital.
iTrustCapital said that no action is required by current clients to receive the added security, and since iTrustCapital is absorbing any additional costs associated with the integration, client fees will not change.
“In a big step forward for the Crypto IRA industry, we are excited that iTrustCapital has selected Coinbase Custody to custody and secure Digital Assets on the iTrustCapital platform,” said Brett Tejpaul, Head of Institutional Sales, Trading and Prime.
