He said there is a need for greater flexibility with the EU for greater clarity on short-stay business travel in the bloc. Mr Bains told the FT: “Businesses can’t afford to wait until the TCA review in 2026.”

    Small businesses in the UK are struggling with EU red tape – posing concerns about a major review date.
