Apocalypse cult couple ‘cut up children before dumping them in pet cemetery’
A couple with ties to an apocalyptic cult allegedly murdered two children before dumping their bodies in a pet cemetery.
Lori Vallow and Chad Daybell, from Idaho in the US, face murder charges over the deaths of Tylee Ashlyn Ryan, 16, and Joshua J Vallow, seven, who disappeared in September 2019.
Tylee was burned and dismembered before being buried just days before her 17th birthday, it is claimed.
JJ’s body was wrapped in duct tape and plastic and buried on September 22, according to investigators.
The couple allegedly put the bodes in a makeshift pet cemetery in Daybell’s garden.
Prior to the killing, they were part of an online chat room called "Another Voice of Warning”, made up of Mormons.
Vallow and Daybell would regularly post in the group, where they allegedly confessed to the murders.
The mum, whose children were from a previous marriage, believed she was an “exalted goddess” and needed to marry her new husband to fulfil a religious prophecy before the apocalypse.
After the murders, other group members began to post about Daybell.
One wrote: “We know Chad is a visionary and can communicate beyond the veil There are SO MANY RIGHTEOUS possibilities here.
“There is no reason to jump to negative ones. Think about Chad's character.

“Which scenario is more like him? That he is an adulterer, kidnapper and murderer!?
“Or that he is on an errand from God and trying to protect his new wife and kids?!”
Vallow believed her purpose on Earth was to create a new holy city, according to court papers obtained by The Sun.
She claimed to be the grandmother of Mormon founder Joseph Smith Jr in a past life.

Her fourth husband Charles wrote: "Mother (Lori Vallow) has recently become infatuated, at times obsessive, about near-death experiences and spiritual visions.
"Mother has told Father (Charles Vallow) that she is sealed (eternally married) to the ancient Book of Mormon prophet Moroni and that she has lived numerous lives on numerous planets prior to this current life."
She and Daybell initially met after attending an event put on by Preparing A People, a cult focusing on the second coming of Christ and the end days.
The couple believed they were part of God’s “chosen 144,000”, who would the world into the New Millennium on July 22, 2020.

Prior to the children's deaths, Vallow was snapped taking her kids to Yellowstone in disturbing pictures.
In February 2020, she fled to Hawaii after being questioned by police.
Daybell was arrested the same month in connection with their disappearance.
Along with the deaths of her children, Vallow has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder after ex-husband Charles was shot dead.
He was killed by her brother Alex Cox in 2019, who also died at the end of the year.
His cause of death is yet to be terminated.
Daybell has been charged with the death of his former wife Tammy, 49.
She was pronounced dead under “suspicious circumstances” in 2019, with prosecutors now seeking the death penalty.
