The evil stepmother of Arthur Labinjo-Hughes' tried to kill herself in jail where she is currently serving a lifetime sentence for torturing, abusing and murdering the tragic six-year-old boy.
Emma Tustin inflicted a "cruel and systematic campaign of cruelty" against her son with ex-partner Thomas Hughes.
This included forcing Arthur to stand up for 14-hours a day alone, poisoning him with salt and depriving him of water and food.
Tustin was slammed with handed a life sentence with a minimum of 29 years after she murdered little Arthur by repeatedly slamming his head on a hard surface.
Hughes, who was found guilty of manslaughter but cleared of murder, was also jailed for life with a minimum of 21 years.
It is understood 29-year-old Hughes continually encouraged the killing of Arthur, which included a text message to Tustin 18 hours before his murder which read "just end him".
In a hearing at the Court of Appeal to review the jail terms of Tustin and Hughes, it was revealed that Tustin had attempted suicide two times during her criminal trial, Mail Online reports.
The convicted murderer had tried to end her life on more than one occasion, it has been reported.
