Tributes have poured in for German bodybuilder Joesthetics after his tragic death was announced yesterday (Saturday, July 1).

The YouTuber, real name Jo Lindner, was just 30-years-old when he passed away of an aneurysm, his heartbroken girlfriend Nicha revealed on Instagram.

"I was there with him in the room," the fitness influencer said.

"He put on the necklace in my neck that he made for me..then…we was just lay down cuddle..waiting the time to go meet Noel at the gym at 16.00. He was in my arms.. then this is just happening too fast.

"Three days ago he kept said that he [had] pain his neck .. we not really realize it… until it too late," she added.

While news of Lindner's untimely death will come as a shock to fans, the social media star's chilling final Instagram post alluded to some pre-existing health issues.

The post, shared just two days before his friends and family announced he had passed, read: "When I lost my gains because I went off everything for 1 year but then could not recover my own [testosterone] levels so went back on trt [Testosterone Replacement Therapy].

"Trust me I tried to stop but be aware it might have long-term effects for your life.

“Trt is a big commitment keep that in mind."

He continued: "My stomach now due to my hernia surgery now it’s a new hernia there and it makes my stomach bigger.

"Overall this post should show that even as a natural u can look amazing and why you just need to get in shape!!"

This wasn't the first time Lindner had admitted to having fears about his health – in a podcast with YouTuber Bradley Martyn, he said: "The heart is also a muscle, that’s my biggest concern that what if I get such a bad cramp that my heart gets a cramp.

"That makes me scared. That’s why I’m staying away from bodybuilding competitions too much.

"Because I would take all these diuretics and if I stop eating salt and drink a lot, and then stop drinking as well, you would pee everything out, and then you would take a diuretic as well on top and then you pee even more sodium out.

"I cannot exist really. I cannot even walk anymore."

Yesterday friends and fans alike took to social media to share their sympathies following Lindner's death.

Taking to Instagram, Lindner's pal Noel Deyzel confirmed his death in a heart-breaking post, writing: "Rest in peace Jo. I still keep checking my phone waiting for your reply so we can meet at the gym."

Meanwhile Traitors star Dr Amos added: "This is so sad RIP. We need to consciously move towards promoting healthier bodybuilding."

Lindner first rose to fame on YouTube by sharing the workout routines he claimed gave him his impressive physique alongside other fitness-related content.
