Brit hero killed in Ukraine shaved head so daughter with cancer wouldn’t worry
The British hero who was recently killed in Ukraine had previously shaved his head so that his daughter with a rare form of cancer wouldn't worry.
Scott Sibley is the first confirmed British national to have died in the war, with the British army veteran believed to have been killed in either southern or eastern Ukraine.
It was not confirmed why the 36-year-old, from Lincolnshire, was in Ukraine at the time, but the former member of the Royal Logistics Corps' death was confirmed by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO).
They did not provide any details on why Sibley was in Ukraine, but confirmed he had been killed in Ukraine.
The FCDO statement read: "We can confirm that a British national has been killed in Ukraine and are supporting the family."
Sibley leaves behind his ex-wife Kay and daughter Charlotte-Rose, who was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in 2018, with the family making the news for their fundraising efforts and awareness appeal of the disease.
In 2018, Sibley was seen shaving his hair off to support his young daughter, who at the time had stage four neuroblastoma.
Speaking at the time to the BBC, Sibley said: "Her hair's started to fall out so we thought, get my hair cut and then when her hair does fall out she won't feel so different about it."

A fundraiser has since been set up to support the family after Scott's death, with family friend Craig Gant setting up a GoFundMe.
Gant wrote: "Scott was a son, father, brother and uncle. To me he was a friend like no other and the bravest person I've had the pleasure to have known, he was as good as a brother to me.
"His life may have been cut short but he lived to the full and did things the Sibs way, right until the end."
