A Brit working in Benidorm says trying to break up a nightclub fight left him looking like "Sloth from the Goonies".
The DJ claims he tried splitting up a fight but ended up in trouble after "out-of-control bouncers" allegedly stamped on his head.
Zak Holland, 36, entertains in packed clubs in the popular Spanish resort town, but ended up getting quite literally booted out of one last Sunday (October 22), before allegedly being set upon by wild security staff.
Zak said he was in Beachcomber nightclub when he tried to split up a fight, before door staff pounced on him because they thought he was involved. Speaking to the Daily Star, he explained: "The doormen took me outside, took me to the side and 10 of them stamped on my head and did not stop."

The Brit said "they're out of control out there" and that bouncers "do it all the time". He said a CT scan cost him £750 after the incident left his head badly swollen and his face bruised.
"It's a common thing in certain bars, and obviously it puts people off from going there. The doormen are out of control.
"Someone told me that they're in a WhatsApp group and they share pictures of the blood and the aftermath and brag about it to each other."
He said that the bouncers "obviously didn't know" who was causing the fight, but he was perplexed that even though some of the men knew who he was, they still reigned down punches and kicks on him.
"They have a pack mentality," he said. "And they obviously don't like us English lot."
Zak said the pack made an "extra effort" to give him a thorough beating when he was thrown to the ground by one staff member who he then challenged to do it without his cronies.
"Then I had to just curl up in a ball and f*****g accept my fate," he added.
Zak added that he feels "OK" now, but said that he looks like Stewie Griffin from Family Guy, and of course Sloth from the Goonies.

"I won't be going back there again to DJ, it's a crazy place. I've even been mugged twice out there," he said of Benidorm.
Zak said venues have notorious reputations for violence from door staff.
On TripAdvisor, one woman claimed in June that her son and a friend were assaulted by the doormen who "go the extra mile to pin you down and beat you."
A May 2023 review from a woman called Chloe claimed that even the bar staff are violent, after a male working in the establishment allegedly backhanded her friend in the face twice.
The establishment has been contacted for comment.
