The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an incident Wednesday morning where a Colorado Springs Police officer shot and killed someone.
CSPD was responding to a burglary in progress when an officer shot and killed a robbery suspect who was yielding a knife, officials said.

Also, south of downtown Colorado Springs, an officer hit and killed a pedestrian crossing a street overnight.
The Tuesday night crash happened on Nevada Avenue, near Las Vegas Street, police said.
