Elon Musk slams Twitter legal challenge with meme of him laughing hysterically
Elon Musk has hit back at a new legal challenge from Twitter – by posting a meme of himself laughing hysterically.
Last Friday (July 8) the world's richest man told Twitter that he was pulling out of the $44billion (£36.8bn) deal to buy the social media platform, citing concerns over the amount of spam accounts or "bots".
In response, Twitter chairman Bret Taylor said the company intends to take legal action, writing: "The Twitter Board is committed to closing the transaction on the price and terms agreed upon with Mr. Musk and plans to pursue legal action to enforce the merger agreement.

"We are confident we will prevail in the Delaware Court of Chancery."
Bloomberg reported yesterday (July 10) that Twitter had assembled a legal team to take on the Tesla and SpaceX CEO.
Today (July 11), in typical Musk fashion, he hit back with a meme on Twitter.
The image has four captions alongside pictures of himself laughing, each more hysterical than the last.
They read: "They said I couldn't buy Twitter.
"Then they wouldn't disclose bot info.
"Now they want to force me to buy Twitter in court.
"Now they have to disclose bot info in court."
Despite exuding confidence regarding his chances in the upcoming court battle, experts have warned that there is a fair chance Musk will be forced to complete the takeover.
Boston College law school professor Brian Quinn told The Guardian that Musk's requests for information on spam accounts were not "reasonable".

He added: "He can’t use unreasonable information requests to create a pretext to claim a violation."
Agreeing, Columbia University law professor John Coffee said: "Musk is on very weak legal grounds.
"Twitter appears to have given him access to just about everything to satisfy his desire to know the percentage of bots among its users."
