Police are hunting a man who abducted a seven-year-old girl and took her into some woods on Wednesday afternoon.
Greater Manchester Police said they were alerted to the incident in Droylsden at about 4pm and suspect the girl was taken on Warne Road into a wooded area near the disused railway track towards Manchester Road.
The force said the child was safely reunited with her family a short time later and officers are searching for the man, and there is a large police presence in the area.
Detectives have issued two images of a man they urgently want to speak to about the incident and urged anyone who sees him to call 999.
Police said in a statement: ‘We’re wanting to speak to this man after a girl (aged seven) was taken into the woods by a stranger in Droylsden earlier.

Detectives believe the girl was taken by a man on Warne Avenue into woods near the disused railway track towards Manchester Road.
There are a large number of officers in the area while ‘extensive searches for the suspect take place’, police said.
Following the initial appeal, officers released a second image of the man they want to identify and locate.
He appears on Gainsborough Road heading towards The Snipe around 30 minutes after the incident. He has removed his jacket in the picture.
