Jealous boyfriend tried to stuff bedsheets in ex’s mouth so she couldn’t breathe
An abusive boyfriend tried to suffocate his partner by forcing bedsheets into her mouth and even urinated in her shoes.
Lee Jones also smashed a mirror on her back after accusing her of cheating on him.
He subjected her to beatings throughout their relationship, which started in May 2019.
By Christmas time, he accused her of looking at other men and would snoop through her phone.
Last summer he smashed a mirror over her and hit her legs with a large metal spanner, writes YorkshireLlive.
In another horrifying incident, he ripped her clothes and underwear off which caused friction burns on her body.
The couple had been out to watch a boxing match and when they returned home, 6ft 2 and 19-stone Jones pulled his victim around the house and kicked her in the face.
Around three weeks later, he threatened to strangle her in front of her young daughter when she asked him to leave the house.
On January 9, he accused her again of being unfaithful.

The thug then grabbed hold of her cheeks and attempted to force the bed covers in her mouth so she couldn't breathe.
Jones, of Burnham Grove, Scawthorpe, later armed himself with a cup of hot water and threw it at his ex's face.
Recorder David Gordon heard that Jones threatened to kill her and any man she was with if he ever came across them.
In a victim impact statement read out to the court, his ex-girlfriend said she fears his actions will affect her for the rest of her life.
The Recorder told him: “As far as you are a violent person, you reserve that for females behind closed doors.”
Jones admitted controlling or coercive behaviour and was jailed for 27 months.
He was also subject to an indefinite restraining order banning him from contacting his ex-partner.
