Long-lost brothers reunited in their 60s – and lived almost identical lives
Two brothers separated as boys found each other in their 60s – and discovered they had lived almost identical lives.
Kevin Harvey, 63, was amazed to find he had a brother he knew nothing about after his daughter bought him an ancestry DNA kit.
He was hoping to find out more about his mother, who put him up for adoption in the 1950s.

But he was blown away when he met big brother Roy, 65.
And they were shocked to find that their lives had mirrored each other over the decades.
They had been living in the same care home at the same time when they were children, without ever meeting.
And they went on to have identical careers, working for the same security company, and then both becoming postmen.
Kevin and Roy, originally from Bromsgrove, West Mids, were both adopted from birth. Kevin said: “When we met it was a very emotional time, and it was quite possibly one of the best things that has ever happened to me.

“We found out we have both lived very similar lives. We were both postmen, I still am, and we also both worked at Securicall in different parts of the country.
“We both also had aspirations to be in the military, and even applied at the same base. There are so many similarities, it was unbelievable.
He added: “I found out that we were even in the same children’s care home.”
The long-lost brothers are now a huge part of each other’s lives, even though Kevin lives in Wolverhampton and Roy in Yorkshire.
Kevin added: “It’s emotional and sometimes hard to take in. There isn’t a day goes by without a text saying ‘Hi brother, how are you doing?’ We non-stop chat to each other.”
