Man found dead in New York City's Central Park in the EXACT same spot a body was discovered last year
A MAN has eerily been found dead in water in New York City in the exact same place a body was discovered floating just last year.
The body of a man, believed to be in his 40s, was spotted in Central Park's Harlem Meer on Saturday night by a passerby.
She frantically dialled 911 shortly before 7pm to report the grim discovery.
Cops pulled the man from the lake and brought him to shore, where he was pronounced dead at about 7.15pm.
The body has been taken to the Medical Examiner's office for an autopsy to determine his cause of death.
It is not known how long the man had been in the water.
A body was found in the same location only last year, which was discovered when a local accidentally hooked the corpse while fishing.
On September 24, Luis Castoire cast his line into the lake – in the northeast portion of the park – when he realized there was a body in the water, reports the Mail.
"I was fishing in the Harlem Meer and my second cast I hook something [and] then lifted the line," he told the outlet.
"I had seen the body in the water then I call 911."
NYPD officers arrived and removed the body of a man in his 30s from the water.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
